Matthew Walker
Who I am
I began my career as a busser/bartender at Sloppy Joes in Colchester, England; and finished as General Manager/ Sous Chef of ÖVN a restaurant in Bellingham, Wa. Which I helped build from scratch. First the building, then the menu, then the staff. I am an excellent communicator and have a knack for finding common ground enabling me to be a relationship builder. I am currently building my resume in Mechanical Design. I enjoy technical challenges and working with technology. I have a 3D printer and am working towards casting those prints. This portfolio will outline work I have completed in my life taking the discipline and consistency in high-stress environments and tempering those skills to produce quality work at a professional standard.
How I got here
Mountain Walker Studio is headed by Mechanical Designer, Matthew Paul Walker. Having spent his life moving around America and studying in Europe. During which trying he developed his positive work ethic and communication skills. Dabbling in the tech industry and being raised building and using technology. He has decided to settle in Portland, OR and is applying his mind to the task of mechanical design utilizing 3D CADD software and simulation.
He enjoys spending time in nature backpacking, hiking, and cycling. In his free time unraveling new technological advancements and finding ways to make daily life more fun.
He looks forward to having conversations about new ideas and problems that need a fresh perspective an working towards a sustainable future with justice for all people of earth
